Solmedia was created to merge Web 3.0 with media and video streaming by introducing the first on-chain content platform on Solana.

On Feb 16th 2024, Filecoin announced its official integration with the Solana chain by hosting Solana’s block history & allowing Solana based infrastructure projects to pivot towards true block decentralization.

Fast forward to March 9 2024, in just under a month, Solmedia managed to capitalize from this emerging technology by becoming the first on-chain content creation and video streaming solution on Solana. Under Solmedia, users can watch videos, create content, grow and engage with their online community & monetize their audience all while enjoying maximum privacy with data stored fully on-chain.

Video storage and data are implemented via new Filecoin IPFS & Farcaster technology to maximize anonymity and maintain a non-central approach for the platform and its users. Our end-goal is to revolutionize online entertainment by providing a privacy focused & free speech web 3.0 video platform that excludes the flaws commonly found in centralized big tech social media.
